OF SECURITY SYSTEMS:
Identification
Technology experience was gained with hand geometry and eye scanning devices,
magnetic card readers, and other entry access systems installed at Cape Canaveral
and at major airports utilizing the INSPASS system. A number of AdaRose engineers
led the software and system engineering effort for the Tactical Automated Security
System (TASS)
The Tactical
Automated Security System (TASS) is a rapidly deployable electronic security
system that detects, announces, locates and evaluates possible intrusions that
could pose a threat to personnel, facilities, or critical resources. Infrared,
microwave, seismic, or magnetic sensors can be mixed in any combination and
can be powered by battery, or solar panels. Security forces can pick up the
alarm on: hand-held monitors used by mobile patrols, laptops used for sector
commands, and a central command computer that displays the alarm in reference
to a map of the installation. Once the security forces receive the alarm, they
can use the TASS thermal imaging cameras to scan that sector and find out what
tripped the alarm. Its an invisible electronic fence that allows us to
see the threat before it knows it has been seen. AdaRose engineers have extensive
past experience in the development of the TASS system. They led the software
and system engineering effort for TASS. They designed, developed, tested and
integrated the Communication Module. They tested and integrated the HandHeld
Monitor, the Communication Converter Module, and the Sensor Interface Circuit
and developed and tested the RF communication for the Desktop/Laptop Annunciator.
